Connecting to the Server

Connect and play locally on your Minecraft Server

  1. Open Minecraft on the same version as your server
  2. Select "Multiplayer" on the title screen of the game
    Note: If a screen titled "Caution: Third-Party Online Play" is displayed, select the check box for "Do not show this screen again" and click Proceed, then and allow Minecraft access to Private Networks by clicking Allow access.
  3. On the multiplayer page, click the "Add Server" button
  4. For the name of the server, enter My Minecraft Server, and for the Server Address enter your internal IPv4 Address.
  5. Click Done, and you should see a new server listed, titled "My Minecraft Server" with subtext "A Minecraft Server"
Your Minecraft server is now added and joinable for anyone on the same network as your computer. Congratulations!
